Hafiz Mustafa 1864 – Turkish Coffee
Storage & Preparation Guidelines

To preserve the freshness and rich aroma of your HM 1864 Turkish coffee, please follow the storage instructions on the packaging. As the coffee is finely ground, we recommend keeping it in its original packaging and resealing the protective pouch tightly after each use before placing it back into its metal tin. Once opened, we advise consuming the coffee within one month.

Proper Storage Is Essential

  • Always keep the coffee in its original aluminium pouch, inside the tin container.
  • Ensure the packaging is sealed airtight after each use.
  • Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.

Use Clean Water

  • Always prepare your coffee with clean drinking water.
  • We recommend using cold water, though room temperature water is also acceptable.

Brew Fresh

  • Prepare only as much as you intend to consume, fresh is best.

Use a Dry Spoon

  • Avoid using a wet spoon, as it can affect the texture and aroma of the coffee.
  • Always use a clean, dry spoon.

Use the Right Equipment

  • For stovetop brewing, ensure your coffee pot (cezve) is made of tinned copper or stainless steel.

If Using a Machine

  • If you are using a coffee machine, follow the cleaning instructions in the manufacturer’s manual with care.

Preparation Suggestion – HM 1864 Turkish Coffee

  • For one cup of Turkish coffee, place 1 dessert spoon (7g) of Turkish coffee into your cezve.
  • Add cold water using the same cup you intend to serve in, and stir gently.
  • Add sugar to taste if desired.
  • Brew slowly over low heat.
  • Once the coffee reaches the boiling point, pour into your Turkish coffee cup and serve.
